Description

A delightful and easy bread that combines the sweetness of applesauce with warm spices, perfect for a cozy morning snack or an afternoon treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup applesauce (unsweetened preferred)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 loaf pan or five mini loaf pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and milk.
  3. Slowly add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  4. Stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan(s) and place in the oven to bake for 30 minutes (mini loaves) or about 60 minutes (large loaf).
  6. Once a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center, remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with butter or cream cheese. This bread is perfect for sharing with family and friends.
