Description

A warm and comforting Creamy Beef Pasta dish with rich sauce and tender ground beef that’s ready in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté diced onion and minced garlic until softened.
  3. Add the lean ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks until browned, then season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and reserved pasta water until the mixture thickens.
  5. Off the heat, mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked penne to the sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley.

Notes

Chop vegetables and measure ingredients in advance for smoother prep. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
