- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Rinse the green beans under cold water, trim the stem ends, and pat them dry.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Toss the mixture until the green beans are evenly coated.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through.
- Once roasted, sprinkle grated Parmesan over the hot beans and toss gently.
- Drizzle with lemon juice if desired and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For added warmth, include red pepper flakes. A squeeze of lemon brightens the dish.
