- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and season them with salt and pepper.
- Pour the crushed tomatoes and Parmesan cheese over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- About 10 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream.
- Before serving, mix in the fresh basil. Serve the dish over your choice of pasta or rice.
Notes
For extra richness, use half-and-half instead of cream. You can add red pepper flakes for heat or vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for more nutrition.
