Description

A simple and delicious side dish of green beans cooked with garlic and butter in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs green beans, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the green beans in the crockpot.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  3. Pour the garlic butter over the green beans and stir to coat.
  4. Cook on low for 3-4 hours until the green beans are tender.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a flavor boost, add a squeeze of lemon juice or red pepper flakes for some heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
