A hands-off slow-cooked spaghetti meat sauce that combines ground beef, tomatoes, and spices for a rich, comforting meal.

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup beef broth
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
- Add the cooked beef to the crockpot.
- Stir in the onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and beef broth.
- Combine all ingredients well and cover the crockpot.
- Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Serve over pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter option, swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken. Serve with spaghetti for best results.
