Description

Fresh peach fritters combine the juicy sweetness of peaches with a crispy, golden exterior, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peaches by washing, peeling, and dicing them into bite-sized chunks.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the milk. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; keep the batter lumpy.
  4. Gently fold in the peach pieces.
  5. Heat about two inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while warm.

Notes

Serve warm, dusted with cinnamon sugar. Pairs well with coffee, tea, or vanilla ice cream.
