Description

A quick and indulgent pan-seared chicken dish with a creamy Boursin cheese sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless skinless chicken breasts (Pounded to 1/2 inch thickness)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 piece Shallot (Minced)
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • ½ cup Heavy cream
  • ½ cup Grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 package Boursin cheese
  • to taste Fresh parsley (Chopped)
  • to taste Fresh thyme (Chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until golden.
  3. Transfer chicken to a plate and tent with foil.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, and cook shallot until softened.
  5. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping the fond.
  6. Add heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in grated Parmesan and Boursin until melted into a smooth sauce.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Finish with fresh herbs, taste for seasoning, and serve with extra sauce.

Notes

Use high-quality Boursin and freshly grated Parmesan for best results. Can prepare chicken a day in advance.
