Description

These delightful Savory Breakfast Rolls are filled with cheesy goodness and a savory filling, perfect for a cozy breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon or ground sausage, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in the yeast mixture and melted butter, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough and fill it with the chopped turkey bacon or ground sausage and cheese. Roll tightly and slice into individual rolls.
  7. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and brush with beaten eggs.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm.
