- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix together the flour and baking soda in a bowl and set aside.
- Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour mixture with the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
