  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices of crispy bacon crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms optional
  • Spices for seasoning: 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon onion powder, and a pinch of cayenne (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the Chicken: Combine honey, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  • Cook the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Add Toppings: Spread the remaining honey mustard sauce over the chicken. Top with crumbled bacon, sautéed mushrooms (if using), and shredded cheese.
