Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced into strips
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced into strips
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks celery chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper adjust to taste
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water to form a slurry
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Ingredients: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and slice the vegetables (bell peppers, onion, celery).
  • Cook the Chicken: Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Stir-fry Vegetables: In the same pan, add the bell peppers, onion, and celery. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften but still retain some crunch.
  • Add Garlic & Seasonings: Add minced garlic and freshly ground black pepper. Stir for another 1-2 minutes to release the aroma.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch slurry. Pour this sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything.
  • Finish Cooking: Allow the sauce to thicken, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
