Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef lean or regular
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • Cook the beef – In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Prepare the sauce – In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth.
  • Layer the ingredients – In the baking dish, layer sliced potatoes, cooked beef mixture, and creamy sauce. Repeat layers as needed.
  • Top with cheese – Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  • Bake – Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.
