Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter smooth or chunky
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips optional for extra swirl
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional for extra swirl

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix wet ingredients: In a bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Swirl the dough: Scoop out portions of the dough and create small drops of the brownie batter and peanut butter dough. Use a toothpick or knife to swirl the two doughs together to create a marble effect.
  • Bake: Place the dough portions on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges.
  • Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
