  • 2 pounds turkey wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce optional

  • Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Get the Turkey Wings Ready: Rinse the turkey wings with cold water and gently pat them dry using paper towels
  • Season the Wings: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well to create a seasoning paste. Rub this mixture generously over each turkey wing, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Arrange in a Baking Dish: Place the seasoned turkey wings in a large baking dish. Pour the chicken broth around the wings to keep them moist while cooking.
  • Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in the oven that has been preheated for one hour.
  • Crisp the Skin: After 1 hour, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes. This step will help the skin to become crispy and golden brown.
  • Check for Doneness: Ensure that the turkey wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). You can use a meat thermometer for this.
  • Serve: Once cooked, remove the turkey wings from the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm with your favorite sides.
